Child Introduction to Firearms
Child Introduction to Firearms
This course invites the parent and child to attend a firearms instruction course together. The goal of this course is for you and your child to learn how to properly handle guns and use them in a safe manner.
In this course, we will discuss the four firearms safe handling rules:
- Treat all guns as if they are loaded
- Never point a gun at anything you aren't willing to destroy
- Know what is beyond your target
- Don't put your finger on the trigger until you are ready to shoot.
This course is open to 10 children per course. One or both parents/guardians are welcome to attend. We will cover some of the more common small caliber firearms that are safe for children to shoot, 22 long rifle and 17HMR.
